5.2 magnitude earthquake leaves 1 killed, 97 casualties

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) –Head of the Relief and Rescue Organization of the IRCS Morteza Salimi said the 5.2 magnitude earthquake left 1 dead and 97 casualties in different parts of the country which the earthquake was felt.

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits the Iranian city of Malard in Tehran province last night.The quake was also felt in the provinces of Karaj, Qom, Qazvin and Arak.

The epicenter of the tremor was located about 40 kilometers (25 miles) west of the capital.
