‘Where Are We Going?' wins honorary award at Russian event

TEHRAN, Nov. 25 (MNA) – Written and directed by Reza Majlesi, the environmental documentary ‘Where Are We Going?' has won the honorary diploma at the 22nd International environmental film festival “Green Vision” in Saint-Petersburg, Russia.

The documentary, which warns about waste disposal and its environmental repercussions in northern Iran, has recently won a silver medal at short Films section of the Handle Climate Change Film Festival (HCCFF) in China.

The 22nd International environmental film festival “Green Vision” was held in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, on November 21-24, 2017.

In this documentary short film, Majlesi goes to Saravan County which is the biggest waste dump in Northern Iran and tries to show the hazards of waste for the scenic nature of Rasht, the capital city of Gilan Province. Majlesi interviews experts about the waste dump and delivers their warning against the hazardous effects it can have on public health.
