Es’hagh Jahangiri is slated to discuss Iran’s positions on economic issues related to gas at the fourth meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) to be convened in Bolivia’s Santa Cruz de la Sierra on November 24.
Top officials of major gas producing countries including Iran, Qatar, Russia and Venezuela are gathering today in Bolivia to discuss policies on gas and to meet during the forum as market oversupply reduces revenues.
GECF members is made up of 11 of the world's leading natural gas producers including Algeria, Bolivia, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Iran, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Russia, Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. Together, the member states control over 70% of the world's natural gas reserves, 38% of the pipeline trade and 85% of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) production
Iran hosted the previous meeting back in Nov. 23, 2015.
