Iran-EU seminar on nuke coop. kicks off in Isfahan

ISFAHAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – Iran-EU’s seminar on progress and prospects in civil nuclear cooperation has kicked off in Isfahan on Tue. within the framework of the third round of top level nuclear talks between the two sides.

The seminar follows the Monday talks between delegations of Iran and European Union in Tehran focused on topics of mutual interest in the fields of economy and commerce, energy (nuclear energy, oil and gas, electricity and renewable energies), environment, transportation, human rights, higher education, research, technology and culture, as well as the latest regional developments.

The seminar is chaired by Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, and Helga Schmid, Deputy to the EU Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.

The EU delegation also comprises Stavros Lambrinidis, the European Union's Special Representative for Human Rights, Director General for International Cooperation and Development Stefano Manservisi, and Director-General for Energy Dominique Ristori.

The third round of high-level negotiations on nuclear cooperation between officials of Iran and the European Union (EU) follows the two sides’ previous negotiations held respectively in Tehran and Brussels after the implementation of the landmark nuclear agreement between Tehran and 5+1 group of countries in 2016.
