‘Unveiling Ceremony’ to vie at China’s animation festival

TEHRAN, Oct. 14 (MNA) – Iranian animated short ‘Unveiling Ceremony’ directed by Mehdi Boustani has been accepted to compete in the 10th Xiamen International Animation Festival in China.

The tenth edition of Xiamen International Animation Festival which is dedicated to animated shorts, features and series, will be arbitrating the selected films in three phases through October 2017. Eventually the jurors will grant the ‘Cyber Sousa’ award to winners of different categories in November.

‘Unveiling Ceremony’ depicts a ceremony during which a symbol is set to be unveiled, but some problems occur during the process.

This marks the tenth international screening for the short animation. Previously, ‘Unveiling Ceremony’ had made appearances at nine international film festivals in France, Germany, Italy, US, Argentina, and Poland and received Special Mention at the International New Animated Films & Cartoon Film Festival in the United States.
