Iran pet-chem output to hit $40m: oil Min.

TEHRAN, Sep. 24 (MNA) – Iranian Oil Minister, Zanganeh, says that the nuclear deal of July 24, 2015, has contributed in favor of Iran’s industry of petrochemical products.

“Since the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was accorded Iran’s petrochemical industry has been booming,” said Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Iranian Oil Minister, on Monday. “According to the 6th plan of development, the petrochemical production of Iran will reach a volume worth 40 million dollars a year.

The Iranian official made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the eleventh edition of the International Exhibition of Iran-Plast.

“In the opening of the last year edition of Iran-Plast Exhibition we promised to open some projects and fortunately some of them are today tapped and online like Kurdistan and Uromiyeh petrochemical plants,” highlighted the oil minister, “and we are going to open some other big projects in this year.”

He also recounted that after an increase of 1 million ton of pet-chem feed in the last year, we are geared toward having another 1 million ton rise in the feed.
