Pro-ISIL plots yields reversely: Shamkhani

TEHRAN, Sep. 12 (MNA) – Iran’s Shamkhani says that holding independence referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan will increase friction among Kurdish groups and parties.

“The ISIL-breeders’ plot to destabilize the region through terrorism had a bitter end for them,” said Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani.

“Now that we are reaching the end of terrorism in the region in its physical shape, thanks to the efforts of frontier countries of war on terror, some uncalculated measures can yield in formation of new tensions and reproduction of insecurity,” asserted the Iranian senior official touching upon the consequences of holding referendum in Iraqi Kurdistan.

He evaluated that the independence referendum can squander the opportunities and potentials of Kurdish society in playing bolder roles in the political arena of Iraq. “Holding referendum can simmer the tensions between Kurdish parties and groups and increase the toils and sufferings of the wronged and brave Kurds,” asserted Mr. Shamkhani.
