Appendix which is directed by Hossein Namazi and produced by Maghsud Jabbari had been screened in the 36th Fajr International Film Festival for the first time. The movie was also showcased in the main competitive category of The Montreal World Film Festival which began on August 24 and runs through September 4, 2017.
Founded in 1977, The Montreal World Film Festival is one of Canada’s oldest international film festivals and the only competitive film festival in North America which is recognized by the FIAPF.
In this installment of the Montreal festival, Farabi Cinema Foundation as the international distributor of Appendix offered the movie to the competitive category of MWFF.
Appendix addresses social issues and everyday life occurrences in the society. The director has chosen a stressful place like the hospital as the vantage point to look at the problems in society.
