Iraq, Lebanon giving crushing response to terrorists in recent months

TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani hoped for the complete destruction of terrorists in all occupied lands in the near future.

“In the past few months, Iraq and Lebanon have given crushing responses to ISIL terrorists, deporting them from their territory,” Larijani noted in a meeting with Lebanon's Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri on Saturday.

He reiterated that Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria are now experiencing better conditions than past years, adding the Islamic Republic welcomed Astana peace talks on Syrian crisis and is confident that the best solution for resolving issues is political dialogue.

Empathy and unity among the countries of the region and the fight against terrorists have led to the victories; we can easily eradicate the presence of terrorists in the region if minor differences are neglected, Larijani underlined.

Nabih Berri, for his part, hailed the role of Islamic Republic of Iran in promoting peace in the Islamic world.

He added that Lebanon, in addition to the attacks carried out by the terrorists in the past years, is involved with the problem of immigration from Syria and Palestine; some terrorists have entered the territory of Lebanon in the same way, but we were able to resist against them and will definitely take back our remaining soil from hands of occupiers.

Pointing to the issue of Palestine, Berri said the great terrorist is Israel, which we can expel them out with unity; the resistance forces can stop Zionist regime from occupation with the help of regional countries such as Iran.
