A consular delegation of Iran’s ministry of foreign affairs was welcomed by Akbar Rezaie, the Head of Iran’s Hajj Organization in Medina on Thursday noon.
“Your presence will increase the state of serenity among the Iranian pilgrims,” said Mr. Rezaie addressing the diplomatic delegation.
The delegation will provide consular services to Iranian pilgrims during the time of the annual rituals of Hajj, according to Saeid Kharrazi, the head of the consular 10-member delegation.
Transporting operation of the 86,500 Iranian pilgrims kicked off on Sunday and so far 11,000 Iranian pilgrims have been flown to Saudi holy cities of Medina and Mecca.
