Iran, Russia discuss growth in bilateral trade ties

TEHRAN, Jul. 28 (MNA) – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai met on Thursday in Moscow.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and Iran’s Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai discussed a diverse range of issues of mutual interests on Friday.

Implementing the agreements reached between Tehran and Moscow during the visit of President Hassan Rouhani to Russia on March 27−28, 2017, was one of the issues discussed during the meeting.

Mr. Morgulov voiced his satisfaction with the development of all-out relations between Iran and Russia and called for implementation of the letters of the agreements and definition of new economic projects to broaden and deepen the bilateral ties more than before.

Pointing to the exchange of ranking delegations between the two countries in the course of the past months, Mr. Sanai highlighted the will of the heads of states of the two countries for developing relations in all areas as the important and effective element of huge effect in bilateral relations of Tehran and Moscow.

Presenting a statistical growth in bilateral economy and trade ties between Iran and Russia, Mr. Sanai voiced hope to see a noticeable rise in the volume of trade between the two countries till the end of the current year with orders of the heads of states put into practice.
