Iranian discus thrower wins silver at Para Athletics Championships

TEHRAN, Jul. 15 (MNA) – Iranian athlete Javad Hardani has won silver medal in the Men's Discus Throw - F38 event at World Para Athletics Championships 2017 in London.

The event, hosting more than 1,000 athletes from 100 countries, kicked off on July 14 and will wrap up after 10 days, on July 23.

In this part of the tournament, Javad Herdani stood second competing with six other athletes, with a record of 14.13 meters. This is the first medal of the Iranian caravan during this year’s World Championships.

In Men's Discus Throw section, Australian rival won the championship and the Swedish representative also stood third.
