Speaking in Tarbiat Modares University on Monday, Zarif underlined that during post- Cold War era, the superiority of some states in international relations has come to an end, and governments are no longer the absolute determinants of international relations, but new non-governed actors have emerged, which were formerly more active in economic fields, but currently they are working in the security and political spheres.

He noted that regional powers resort to the aliens to gain legitimacy, security, or both; these countries are either under the support of a foreign country or are waiting for such support from foreign systems.
“The progress and security of these countries are dependent on the outside, while the prominence of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the region is due to the spirit of independence among the people of the country, and secondly, due to being under the permanent threat by the foreign governments after the victory of the Islamic Revolution,” Zarif underlined.
Zarif stressed that the Islamic Republic's viewpoint towards the development of the country is intrinsic, and its progress, legitimacy and security comes from its own people, and thus Iran can increase its power through its own facilities and instruments.
Foreign minister said with advances in technology and science, audience selection has been eliminated, and technology has led the audience range to become widespread, yet complex.

Elimination of the ban on the education of our students in some academic fields at foreign universities is among the important achievements of JCPOA, FM Zarif asserted, adding Islamic Republic is present in various scientific and international scenes because it currently has the capability of attracting and exporting science.
The main tasks of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the field export are non-oil goods exports, technical and engineering services and efficient forces, and in the field of import are tourist imports, capital imports, and the absorption of science and technology, Zarif concluded.
