Speaking during a ceremony marking Iran's National Nuclear Technology Day on Sunday, Salehi said in the light of national commitment made in order to pass the fabricated nuclear crisis and Iranian nation’s political participation, conditions were provided to foil the plots of Iran’s enemies, remove the unjust sanctions against the Islamic Republic, and make necessary measures to put the country's nuclear industry on the path of commercialization and to continue the cost-benefit model for trade activities.
Salehi said the developments in Iran’s nuclear industry have paved the way to provide raw materials such as yellow cake. “During the past year, more than 360 tons of yellow cake have been added to our strategic reserves,” he noted.
Pointing to the production of advanced centrifuges systems, Salehi said technical testing to ensure the performance of IR8 machines were conducted and in the shadow of the blessings of God, fumigation operations were carried out with success above what was expected and without any disruption and crash.
Salehi also hailed a 50-percent rise in Iran’s nuclear achievements last year, compared to the year before.
Pointing to the development of nuclear power generation capacity, Salehi said the construction of two new power plant units with a capacity of 2100 MW has begun in Bushehr nuclear site in cooperation with Russian specialists.
He also underlined that Atomic Energy Organization of Iran's major policy is to turn the Islamic Republic into a radiopharmaceutical manufacturing hub in the Middle East.
