“Polish officials are very optimistic about the expansion of bilateral ties between Iran and Poland,” said Anna Maria Anders, Secretary of State in the Office of Prime Minister of Poland, Beata Szydło, on Tuesday during her meeting with Rasoul Zargarpour, the Governor-General of Isfahan Province of Iran.
“There are vast areas of cultural commonalities between Iran and Poland which would provide greater potentials of communication in the post-sanctions era,” said the Polish official, who also serves as the Plenipotentiary for International Dialogue, touching upon cultural ties of the two countries and referring to her Tehran meeting with Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Salehi Amiri. “Culture is one of the best ways for having close relations with other countries and it creates many opportunities for this cause.”
Ms. Anders voiced hope that the elites of both Iran and Poland visit the respective countries as she affirmed that she had given her formal invitation to Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Salehi Amiri as she feels theater is one of the intact areas of potential cooperation between Iran and Poland.
“All of us are after creating peace in the future of the world and we hope that visits and meetings between the officials of countries contribute to this cause,” said the Polish Senator referring to her meeting with Iranian deputy foreign minister in Tehran.
She affirmed that she had also invited, during a bilateral meeting in Tehran, the Iranian Vice-President Shahindokht Mowlaverdi to pay an official visit to Poland as Ms. Anders described Mowlaverdi as a woman active in political arena.
The Governor-General of Isfahan Province Rasoul Zargarpour in this meeting articulated that tourists from 86 countries of the world visit the Iranian historic city and province of Isfahan annually and Europeans make up a big chunk of this number.
