Jaberi Ansari arrives in Syria for regional talks

DAMASCUS, Dec. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s Deputy FM Hossein Jaberi Ansari has arrived in Damascus Wed. morning to hold regional consultations with Syrian officials, followed by a visit to Lebanon.

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, arrived in Damascus this morning as part of his two-nation regional tour to Syria and Lebanon.

Jaberi Ansari is scheduled to meet with President Bashar Assad, Prime Minister Imad Mohammad Khamis, Foreign Minister Walid Muallem, and Deputy FM Faisal Mekdad, and confer with these senior officials on the latest developments in Syria and the region.

Attending Iran-Syria’s third Joint Political Committee meeting is also on his agenda.

Jaberi Ansari who accompanied Foreign Minister Zarif to Moscow for Iran-Russia-Turkey trilateral meeting on Syrian situation, will then depart Syria for Lebanon to hold talks with the country’s senior officials.
