Iran national beach soccer team 5th in world

TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (MNA) – The newest joint ranking of BSWW and FIFA place the national beach soccer team of Iran at the 5th in the world with a total of 1785 points ahead of Switzerland, Tahiti, Japan, Spain, and Oman.

Garnering 1785 points, the national beach soccer team of Iran holds the fifth place in the newest statement of the Beach Soccer Worldwide Beach Soccer Rankings which is jointly released by the Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) and FIFA.

Atop of the list stand the Portuguese with a total of 3500 points ahead of the Russians who have collected 3204 points. Brazilians with 2525 points hold the third place above the Italians of the fourth place who have garnered 2143 points.

Iranian were formerly at the 6th place in the world ranking and their outstanding performance at the latest international competition of the field, the 2016 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup held in Dubai of the UAE, improved the status of the team.

Switzerland, Tahiti, Japan, Spain, and Oman are the other national squads trailing Iran in the world rankings of the field with 1691, 1659, 1267, 1154, and 1037 points at the places of the sixth to the tenth.
