Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi made the remark in his statement on occasion of funeral ceremony of Hilla terrorist attack victims who were martyred when an ISIL terrorist exploded a truck at a gas station in the Shomali Village in the suburbs of Hilla on Friday, killing at least 73 people, including many Iranian pilgrims that were returning from Karbala, where they marked Arbaeen.
Ghasemi, while expressing his deep condolences to the Iranian nation, particularly the people of Khuzestan who lost the higher number of their family members in the attack, added “Takfiri terrorism in continuation of its disgraced and anti-human efforts, this time targeted Arabeen pilgrims in a merciless and horrendous attack.”
He went on to stress, “their shameless claim of responsibility for this bloody crime has further united the whole Iranian nation and government for a continuous and relentless fight against the terrorists.”
He further warned that such injudicious acts of violence and hate crimes will bring about no beneficial results for theses ‘blood-thirsty’ terrorists.
