Chess Association of Tehran province under the auspices of I.R. Iran Chess Federation will organize international sportive event.
Several countries have deployed representatives to participate at Paytakht tournament including Azerbaijan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Spain, Iraq, Syria, Georgia, Ukraine, France, Afghanistan, Philippines, Armenia, Brazil and America.
Overall, a total of 365 to 370 chess players are expected to compete at the event which will be will be organized according FIDE Rules at the venue of Chess Federation of Iran located in Tehran.
Paytakht Cup will be held in three divisions including Category A Master tournament for players with rating 2100 and more, Category B for player with rating less than 2100 as well as Category C for cadets & youth players under 14 years old.
Each category shall be conducted in Swiss System of 9 rounds.
