TEHRAN, Oct. 23 (MNA) – Six MoUs on transport cooperation were signed on Sun. following the meeting between Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development and Germany’s Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.

Abbas Akhoundi, Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, said Sunday that during the visit of Germany’s Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, Alexander Dobrindt, to Tehran, six memorandums of understanding were signed between the two sides that could further boost transport cooperation.

According to him, a German company has taken part in a tender for completing the two terminals in Chabahar Port.

“We are now in talks with Germany’s Siemens for developing suburb transport in Tehran and Tabriz, as well as speeding up Tehran-Tabriz rail lines,” Akhoundi said, expressing hope that the negotiations would yield desirable results.
