Indigenous company receives overhaul permit from Russia

TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (MNA) – PENHA Helicopter Mfg. Indus. has received from Russia technical certificate to overhaul Russian MOA helicopters, an official said.

Reza Jafarzadeh, head of public relations office of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization told reporters on Thursday that certificate had been awarded to PENHA during an expert ceremony where Russian Helicopter presented the participants with its repertoire of helicopters and Russia prestigious and accredited helicopter manufacturers such as Mil, Kamov, Ulan-Ude, Kazan, and Rostvertol along with civil helicopter sector of the Islamic Republic of Iran and PENHA attended.

“Mr. Ali Abedzadeh, head of ICAO, participated as a major figure and Mr. Ali Ahmadabadi, representing the company was awarded certificates for major overhaul of MOA (Maintenance Organization Approval) in Asia and Eurasia and Alexander Scherbinin,” he told reporters.

“The certificate comes only after 45 days of audition and exploration by more than 30 Russian helicopter industry experts of capabilities and technical knowledge of the PENHA according to the latest international aviation standards and technical documents. On the sideline of the ceremony, a panel addressed country’s requirements and shortages in relief and rescue, emergency, and oil-related aviation facilities with oil producers attending,” Jafarzadeh concluded.
