Ali Morteza Birang, Deputy-head of Technology Exchange and International Affairs, Presidential Deputy for Science and Technology Affairs, told reporters on Saturday that the MoU with Hungarian side addressed joint technological project and improvement of both sides’ capabilities in innovation and establishing of tech companies and Technology Parks; “the meeting was focused on using research and development infrastructures in both capitals such as laboratories, transfer and exchange of technologies, and cooperation and participation in international programs such as EU 2020 Goals, along with working in fundamental research through professor and student exchange programs,” he detailed.
“The meeting especially emphasized the role of private sector in cooperation; it was also agreed that a joint workgroup and special subcommittees will watch closely over implementation of MoU and prioritize its different sections in nanotechnology, material science, biotechnology, agriculture and food industries, clean food and air quality, animal sciences, fisheries and aquaculture, and finally, pharmaceuticals,” he added.
József Pálinkás, President of the National Research, Development and Innovation Office, received NRDI Office was a signatory to the MoU which had been signed in last December in Budapest and in Tehran during Hungarian prime minister’s visit to Iran.
