Three Iranian shorts to vie at Elche Filmfest.

TEHRAN, Jul. 12 (MNA) – Three Iranian short movies made their way to the semifinals at the 39th Elche International Independent Film Festival in Spain.

Masoud Hatami’s short film Struggle, produced by Tehran Young Cinema Society, Lady with Flower Hair directed by Sarah Tabibzadeh and What’s the Difference Between Me And a Froglet? by Ehsan Nasri are three Iranian works to be screened at Spanish event due in July.

Struggle has so far won the Best Director Statuette at the Experimental Short Films section, Special Jury Prize in the international section and Art and Experience Award at the 32nd Tehran International Short Film Festival.

The Lady with Flower Hair narrates the story of a woman of forty, on whose hair has grown a set of carnations. She was different even from childhood.

The Elche International Independent Film Festival aims to offer a cultural space to filmmakers and moviegoers. The event has been selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain to the screening of candidates at the 31th Goya Awards for Best Short Film.
