Russia would send Iran S300 2nd batch

TEHRAN, Jul. 05 (MNA) – Russian daily Izvestia has quoted a high-ranking official that Russia is prepared to send Iran the second batch of S-300 air defense systems.

“Russia is ready to send the second batch of S-300 air defense systems to Iran, according to Alexander Fomin, the head of the federal service for military cooperation,” wrote Izvestia.ru, which was quoted by British Mail Online on Monday.

The source also quoted Mr. Fomin as providing details of the issue; “with Russia, everything is prepared for loading to Tehran destination and we hope to see this transportation takes place in the near future. This however depends on the payment by Iranians,” he was quoted by Izvestia.

Iran received the first S300 shipment from Russia in mid-April, which was unveiled during a parade on National Army Day in April 17.
