Competing in Men's 100m sprint, Hassan Taftian of Iran managed to clock 10.04 seconds in order to stand on the top podium followed by Spain’s Bruno Hortelano (10.06 seconds) as well as Kemar Hyman of Cayman Islands (10.13 seconds) who finished scond and third, respectively.
In addition to winning the World Challenge Meeting Madrid title, the Iranian runner improved his 100m national record of 10.10 by 0.06 seconds.
Meanwhile, Iran discus thrower Ehsan Hadadi, who had finished runner-up in 2012 London Olympics, claimed a bronze by throwing 63.10 meters.
Austrian Lukas Weisshaidinger finished in first place with 64.42 and Colombian Mauricio Ortega came second with 64.22.
