1st VP calls for stronger ties with Turkey

TEHRAN, May 27 (MNA) – Iranian 1st Vice President Es'hagh Jahangiri sent a message to the new Prime Minister of Turkey, Binali Yildirim, and hoped for development of bilateral ties in addition to felicitating his election for the position.

“Relying on deep historical, religious and cultural commonalities between the two Muslim countries of Iran and Turkey, we hope that bilateral ties between the two countries develop more than ever during this term [of Binali Yildirim’s Premiership],” reads in part of a message sent by Es'hagh Jahangiri, Iranian First Vice President, to the newly-appointed Turkish PM Yildirim.

According to the official website of Iran’s first vice president, the message is opened by Jahangiri’s felicitating Yildirim on the occasion of being elected as the new prime minister of the neighboring republic.

Jahangiri voices hope that in the light of strong determination undertaken by the officials of countries, common interests and goals of Iran and Turkey be secured.

He closes the letter with praying success, health, and honor for both Binali Yildirim and the Muslims of Turkey.
