‘Rabies’ to be marketed in Cannes’ Marché du Film

TEHRAN, May 10 (MNA) – Amir Ahmad Ansari’s ‘Rabies’ will be presented in Cannes Festival’s Marché du Film.

Mehdi Madadkar, one of the two producers of the film (another being Ali Shah Hatami) told Mehr News that the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival 2016 will see ‘Rabies’ along with the director Amir Ahmad Ansari. “Distributors from Germany and Canada have agreed to work with us in helping with premiering of the film, however with no specific date of screening,” he told Mehr News. Marché du Film will be open beginning May 10 in Cannes and operate for 11 days.

‘Rabies’ is a 2014 product, a joint work by Mehdi Madadkar and Ali Shah Hatami. Notable among the crew are Milad Keimaram, Hengameh Ghaziani, and no less renowned Jamshid Hashempour, the 1990s star of the Iranian cinema.
