Mohammad Hossein Ghanbari made the remarks on Sunday adding “some of the participating countries at the 2016 Railexpo include Russia, Germany, Turkey, China, Italy, Czech Republic, Bangladesh as well as India.”
“Iran is after turning the rail exposition into a hub for related exhibitions all over the region in order to bring about massive participation of Iranian and international companies here,” he continued.
Ghanbari further enumerated the main objectives of the upcoming event including “increasing exports, making rail industry indigenous in addition to familiarizing domestic companies with the latest technologies in the field of rail industry.”
The official also described the event as a proper ground for the Iranian companies to escalate cooperation with their reputable counterparts around the world.
The 4th International Exhibition on Rail Transportation, Related Industries and Equipment is scheduled to convene in Tehran between May 15-18.
