Tehran, Paris railroads become sisters

TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Deputy-head of Iran’s Railroad Company has said Tehran’s and Parisian railroads have signed sisterhood agreement.

Ahmad Khodaei and Alain Vidalies, French Minister of State for Transport, Marine Affairs and Fisheries signed the ‘Sisterhood Agreement of Tehran and Paris Railroads’ on Tuesday in Tehran where the former announced that French Harpe Company would participate as a major contractor to improve and extend Tehran’s railroad.

“We have reached agreements with French company Harpe will renew Tehran’s railroad network in addition to making investments in the transport sector; other French companies would also be candidates of being a contractor for other projects in Iran’s railroad system,” he told the French minister. “La Harpe will prepare a comprehensive master plan for Tehran Railroad Station, where Iranian side will also participate as a joint venture,” Khodaei added.
