Tehran to host French Film Week

TEHRAN, Apr. 19 (MNA) – Next week, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art will screen six films by acclaimed directors such as Leos Carax and Claire Denis for those movie-goers interested in French cinema.

Six films by French filmmakers Leos Carax, Claire Denis, Philip Falcone, Xavier Beauvois, and Benoît Jacquot will be screened at Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art from 23 to 29 April for those interested in the post French New Wave films.

Jean-Michel Frodon, French journalist, critic and historian of cinema, will be present in Tehran during the event and present a critique of the films after their screening. The films have been selected by Frodon.

The opening ceremony of French Film Week will be held on April 23 at 16:00 local time with French ambassador and the manager of Tehran Museums of Contemporary Art in attendance.

The ceremony will conclude by screening Leos Carax’s 'Bad Blood' (1986) with Persian subtitles.
