Before the end of the current Iranian calendar year, two international athletics events will take place in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the attendance of Iranian sportspeople.
A total of 34 Iranian disabled athletes will take part at the first ever IPC Athletics Asia-Oceania Championships in Dubai, UAE between 7rd and 12th March 2016.
Later on March 17-20, 2016, the UAE will host the 8th FAZAA International Athletics Competition - 2016 IPC Athletics Grand Prix - Athletics at which a total of 59 Iranian athletes will be present.
Fazza IPC tournament marks one of the major competitions for athletes on the road to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, and the participating athletes could be subject to anti-doping testing according to International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Po/ IPC and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) rules.
Meanwhile, a work shop was launched with the participation of the Iranian squad on Wednesday morning January 06 in Tehran with the theme of fight against doping, medical tests as well as classification control and will last until January 08.
