Putin denies Saudi-led coalition is anti-Russian

MOSCOW, Dec. 18 (MNA) – President Vladimir Putin says that Russia doesn't see a new anti-terror coalition led by Saudi Arabia as hostile to its interests, even with the participation of Turkey.

Speaking at the annual news conference, Putin said that he doesn't see an anti-Russian nature to the new anti-terror coalition led by Saudi Arabia, and made clear that he does consider Turkey an "enemy State," despite calling hostile and unfriendly the downing of the Russian warplane in Syria last November 24, with two people killed.

Putin noted that bilateral relations were damaged after the incident, and stressed that they don't know how they will get out of that situation, but it is up to Turkey to give a response.

At the same time, the Russian president also made reference to differences with Saudi Arabia on the crisis in Syria which Moscow considers exclusively political, but mentioned points of convergence with the Arab nation.
