Ankara threatens to take action in Syria to protect Turkish minority

ANKARA, Nov. 24 (MNA) – Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu admitted on Monday the possibility of taking action in Syria, with the supposed purpose of protecting the Turkish minority near the border with this nation.

According to Davutoglu, the country of whom is accused by Damascus of supporting and financing armed groups, including the terrorist movement ISIL the Turkish minority in Syria is being attacked by the Russian air force, something that Moscow has denied several times.

The head of Government told the media that he had held consultations about the mentioned issue with Chief of General Staff Hulusi Akar during the weekend and also with the leader of the National Intelligence Organization Hakan Fidan.

Our security forces have been ordered to reject any action that jeopardizes our borders' security, asserted Davutoglu, quoted by the newspaper Hurriyet Daily News.
