TEHRAN, Nov. 21 (MNA) – Two days into the 12th round of Iran’s 2015-16 season of Persian Gulf Premier League of Soccer the top three at the table are left untouched.

At the end of the second day of the12th round of Iran’s 15th Premier League of Soccer 2015-16 aka Persian Gulf Premier League of Football, the Tehrani blues regained their position at the top of the table.

The first four fixtures of the day were simultaneously started at 03:30 pm local time and in the event held at Fouladshahr Stadium of Isfahan the troubled golden giants of the city bagged their first victory under their new manager Igor Štimac.

The first match of the new manager could have been a defeat if the hosts had not equalized the one goal they conceded at the 34th minute and had not converted the late winning penalty kick at the 89th minute.

At the 34th minute, Naft of Tehran was awarded a penalty kick which was wasted by Bouhamdan, but the visitors led the event two minutes later with a goal by Ali Ghorbani. At the 45th minute, Mehdi Sharifi equalized for Sepahan and the hosts won the event with the penalty kick at the 89th minute.

Ali Daie’s Saba of Qom did not overcome the rising Zowbahan of Isfahan at home in Qom city and the two teams left the pitch with a scoreless draw.

Tractorsazi and Siah Jamegan reached the same result at the end of their 90-minute fight in Tabriz.

Saipa edge passed Malavan of Anzali in a home encounter to collect a total of 20 points so far in the season.

The last fixture of the day was held in Ahvaz where Esteghlal of Tehran defeated its host Foulad of Khuzestan 2-0 to restore a cushion at the top of the table.

Jaber Ansari (57) and Pero Pejić (88) scored for Tehranis while Borhani hit the post at the 24th minute of the event.

The remaining fixture of the round is between Persepolis of Tehran and Esteghlal of Ahvaz.
