'foreign delegations seek to assess investment opportunities'

TEHRAN, Nov. 13 (MNA) – Pointing to several commercial and industrial delegations’ visit to Iran, industry minister said they are assessing the possibilities for investment and cooperation development.

Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh emphasized the need for transparency in dealing with the delegation in order to avoid any ambiguity.

Underlining that on average, one delegation has visited the country over the past week, the minister noted, “We have clearly described the conditions of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the 20 foreign trade delegations who have travelled to Tehran in the past few months.”

“Several Iranian companies as well as industrial and commercial activists have also conducted direct negotiations with the delegations in order to exchange views,” he asserted.

Nematzadeh further referred to the rise in the number of visiting delegations; “a large number of commercial and economic activists accompany officials and foreign ministers of other countries and South African deputy President Ramaphosa was escorted by 160 industrial and commercial managers in his trip to Iran,” he noted.

“Due to regional and international positions, Iran marks a good platform for foreign investment,” stressed the official urging countries and big corporations not to lose investment opportunities in Iran.

The industry minister expressed hopes that trade delegations’ visit to Iran and foreign investment will expand in collaboration with local firms.
