Syrian army pushes terrorist groups to east of Aleppo

DAMASCUS, Nov. 05 (MNA) – The Syrian Army regained on Wednesday control of the road that links the cities of Aleppo and Slamieh, after annihilating the members of the terrorist group ISIL who tried to cut that access.

According to military sources, the soldiers managed to expel the armed extremists from this important road.

The military offensive deployed in Aleppo has forced the armed groups to seek refuge in the eastern area of this province, located 350 kilometers northeast from this capital.

The military aviation bombed targets of the ISIL in the localities of Al-Sheikh Ahmad and Tal Ahmar, causing them numerous casualties and significant material losses.

Local media outlets said yesterday that the most recent counter-terrorist operations in the south and west of Aleppo made the armed extremist groups collapse and forced them to leave their areas of operations and displace to other territories, far from the reach of the Government troops.
