Indian filmfest screens Iranian Promise

TEHRAN, Nov. 02 (MNA) – Iranian film Promise, directed by Mohammad Ali Talebi, is attending the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, India.

The Iranian flick is attending the festival’s Half Ticket section which is making its debut this year. The section is a treat for children and films from around the world will compete for the children’s jury awards.

Promise recounts the story of a boy coming to terms with the death of his best friend, for which he feels partly responsible.

The film has so far been screened in several festivals including Isfahan, Montreal as well as the Netherland’s Cinekid.

Once screened on Saturday, October 31, the film is scheduled to be shown today and on Wednesday as well.

The Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival is organized by the Mumbai Academy of Moving Image popularly known as MAMI.

The festival which kicked off on October 29th in Mumbai will wrap up on November 5th, 2015.
