Syrian army corners terrorist gangs in Aleppo north, south

DAMASCUS, Oct. 21 (MNA) – The Syrian armed forces continued on Tuesday blocking the way of terrorist groups operating in the province of Aleppo, by both, the South and north, causing considerable human casualties and material loses.

Military sources confirmed that on the eve was released al-Sabkia city, after bloody fights between Takfirist groups and joint force of the army and militia of the Popular Defense Groups.

To support the operations of infantry units, Syrian and Russian warplanes bombed camps of armed extremists in Qseir al-Ward, Hweijeneh, Tal-Stable, al-Halabiyeh, al-Dakwaneh, al-Mfalseh, Tal Alam , Rasm Harmel, Tal Abu Daneh, Hmemeh, Adaseh Um, and Tal al-Mous areas.

There were also attacked terrorists concentration points in the East and southeast of the province, mainly in Shweilekh, Um Argheleh and al-Sheikh Ahmad.

Further to the south, the soldiers continued their offensive against armed gangs operating in the periphery of the capital, moving toward targets located in the city of Harasta, and towards eastern areas of Eastern Ghouta.

During this raids, was destroyed  a launching pad of mortars, from the self-proclaimed Army of Islam (Jaish al-Islam) and three buildings closed to al-Jourah Mosque, in Khobar city, only nine kilometers from the capital center.

In Duma, just 19 kilometers from the center of Damascus, the army wiped out a group of terrorists who were entrenched in the vicinity of the al-Baghdadi Mosque.

There were also combats in the area of al-Menshia in Daraa al-Balad, near the town of Attman.

The air force attacked rebel camps in Qasre bin Wardan, Rasm al-Tina and Kafre Zeita, while the infantry put to flight the troops operating in Tal al-Fark.

Another significant event in the day was the revelation that members of the self-proclaimed Free Syrian Army (FSA), described by the United States of moderate opposition group, decided to join the ranks of the terrorist group al-Nusra Front.

Abu Hashem, the ringleader of this group in the province of Idleb, acknowledged the fact and assured that members of the FSA and the Al-Nusra Front 'are brothers', and there are no differences between their purposes, as they share a common enemy that is the government headed by President Bashar al-Assad.
