MPs call for impeachment of oil minister

TEHRAN, Oct. 07 (MNA) – An Iranian MP told the reporters 40 representatives have signed the impeachment proposal of oil minister.

Seyed Shokrekhoda Mousavi an Iran’s Member of Parliament and a member of Energy Committee of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) told the reporters about possible impeachment of Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zangeneh.

The MP added that they had been ready for the proposal earlier but waited to see the results of the impeachment held on October 6, during which Majlis voted to keep Abbas Akhoundi the country's Roads and Urban Development Minister.

The MP recounted that Minister’s staff appointing, the status of refineries, and lack of observing resistant economic macro-policies are among the main reasons of impeachment.
