Iranian President Hassan Rouhani extended his congratulations to his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rahmon on Tajikistan’s Independence Day on September 9.
In the message, President Rouhani deemed the relations between Iran and Tajikistan rooted in deep historical ties, calling for boosting cooperation and further deepening of realtions.
The Iranian president also wished President Rahmon continued good health and happiness and the friendly Tajik nation further progress and prosperity.
On September 9, 1991, Tajikistan gained independence from the Soviet Union.
