11 medals for Iran at World Transplant Games

TEHRAN, Aug. 26 (MNA) – By the end of the 2nd day of World Transplant Games, Iranian athletes won 6 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.

On the second day of the 20th World transplant Games, 6 Iranian athletes won gold medal; Keyvan Tishegaran, Sedigheh Safari, Mohammad-Reza Shah Moradi, and Bahareh Beigi in table tennis event as well as Mohammad Javad Hefzi in cycling were Iran's gold medalists.

Also, Masoumeh Borji in table tennis and Masoumeh Rezaei in petanque received silver medals and three other Iranian athletes won the bronze medal namely Mohammad-Hadi Khoshnoodi in Bowling, Elham Mohammadi in Table Tennis, and Elham Roshan Cheragh in Track and Field. This was Iran's first appearance in cycling and petanque competitions.

Meanwhile, the 13-year-old athlete Shah Moradi, who is the youngest member in Iran’s team, became the world champion in U18 table tennis competitions.
