Kermanshah to host Intl. So-Kyokushin Karate Competitions

KERMANSHAH, Aug. 10 (MNA) – Kermanshah Karate Federation representative said the province will be hosting the International So-Kyokushin Karate Competitions with more than 600 participants.

Nabi Fathi told MNA the international men and women So-Kyokushin Karate competitions will be held in age groups of adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors in two sections of kata and kumite.

Over 600 athletes from Iran, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, Japan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will be competing against one another in the international competitions.

According to Fathi, Kermanshah will take part in the competitions with three teams.

“This is the first time Kermanshah is hosting the international So-Kyokushin Karate competitions and we expect a better future for our karate teams,” he said.

The international So-Kyokushin Karate competitions will be held in Kermanshah Province from 12-14 August, 2015.
