Kiani clinched gold in women's changquan

XILINHAOTE, Aug. 07 (MNA) – On first day of the 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championships Zahra Kiani of Iran brought home a gold medal.

Iranian Wushu practitioner Zahra Kiani bagged the first gold for Iran’s Wushu squad at the women's changquan event of the 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championships held in Xilinhaote city of China.

Sogand Golshani (in Daoshu category) and Sepideh Shakerian (in Nanquan category) were other two Iranian girl wushu practitioners who earned fame for the country with two silver medals of the 8th Asian Junior Wushu Championships.

In Nandao event, the other Iranian Wushu practitioner Hossein Rahmani garnered 8.76 points and finished eighth.

The 8th Asian Junior wushu Championships started on August 6 and will run through on August 9 with 23 Asian teams fighting for medals.
