My Mother's Blue Sky well received in Italy

TEHRAN, Jul. 25 (MNA) – Iranian movie My Mother's Blue Sky was well received at the 45th edition of Giffoni International Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Ali Ghavitan, the flick went on screen in Italy concurrent with its screening in Iran.

Radio and TV programs held interviews with the film's director following the screening of the film in the festival which received great welcome from the audiences present at the festival.

The movie narrates the story of a mother and his son who are living in the dry and rough mountains and face obstacles and difficulties while protecting their coal mine.

The Giffoni International Film Festival is the largest children’s film festival in Europe. It takes place in the little Italian town of Giffoni Valle Piana in Campania, Southern Italy. The festival kicked off on July 16 and will run until July 27.

During the festival, the children and teenagers watch the films, learn about the filmmaking process, and are called to judge them and award the best ones with prizes.
