Iran deal would help end sectarian violence

TEHRAN, Jul. 14 (MNA) – A Turkish politician has told Mehr News International Service Iran’s nuclear deal would restore regional harmony to the Middle East.

In an interview to Payman Yazdani of Mehr News International Service, Osman Faruk Loğoğlu said that the nuclear deal would bring rapid progress for Iran’s domestic economy.

Asked about his assessment of the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers which had been dubbed ‘historic’ by many political analysts, Loğoğlu was optimistic about fresh conditions for all regional players in the Middle East to exploit to the betterment of conditions for all countries; "the agreement is a welcome and positive development and good news for Iran, the region and the international community. It comes after long and arduous negotiations and proves once again that diplomacy works if given a real chance,” he said.

“The deal is an opportunity for Iran to make rapid progress at home and use its newly won position in favor of peace, stability and prosperity in the region. Iran has a major responsibility along with the other regional countries like Turkey, Egypt and Saudi Arabia to put an end to sectarian polarization and conflict in the Middle East. With the right policies Iran can affect the fortunes of the entire region for the better.”

“The agreement should have a salutary effect on Iran's foreign relations across the board, east and west. As a first order of business, Iran should perhaps seize the moment to explain its vision and intentions to Saudi Arabia and the [Persian] Gulf countries. This would send positive vibrations throughout the region."
