Following the death of four Saudi Shia pilgrims due to poisoning in the northeastern Iranian city of Mashhad, Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) issued a statement on Tuesday, announcing that it would prosecute those who are guilty on the case.
A group of 33 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia were exposed to poison on Sunday while staying at a hotel in the city of Mashhad which had just used insecticides inside its rooms without considering hygienic measures.
Judiciary Spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said on Mondya an investigation has been launched into the management and staff of the hotel, and five people are under arrest.
The statement at the end expressed deep sympathy with victims' families.
