He stated that the Iranian government has already set the ground for promotion of ties between Iranian and Slovak private sectors via supporting bilateral investment and lifting double taxation, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with Khansari, President of the Bratislava Chamber of Commerce Igor Jonas voiced his country’s willingness in boosting trade cooperation with the Islamic Republic. “There are diverse economic fields in which Iran and Slovakia can cooperate including power plant industry,” Igor Jonas said.
Heading a trade delegation, the Slovak official is in Iran to hold talks with Iranian officials.
“The trade cooperation between Iranian and Slovak manufacturers and economic activists would not be limited to ties with Slovakia and Iranians would be able to broker relations with other EU countries through Slovakia,” Jonas noted.
He also said an Iranian trade delegation will travel to Slovakia later this year as part of efforts to discuss expansion of ties between Tehran and Bratislava.
