Efforts in progress to allow women in stadiums

TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – Iran Volleyball Federation President Mohammad Reza Davarzani announced the federation’s efforts to provide opportunity for female fans to take part in volleyball matches in Iran.

Davarzani said special watchdog for International Federation of Volleyball (FIVB) will be in Iran to monitor Iran's conditions for hosting the 26th FIVB World League.

He stated that Iran’s Volleyball Federation will do its best to arrange hosting conditions in a way to avoid the possibility of any problem regarding the hosting requirements, stressing that the conditions need to be within the framework of system’s principles.

Davarzani, while acknowledging Iran’s special position for hosting among members of World League’s Group A, said FIVB puts more emphasis on observation of some requirements set by the law in the Group A which include observer checklist, observer and FIVB Secretary General reports, international Video check systems and HD-quality devices which will have a great impact on the next international hosting conditions for the country.

Pointing to the recent negative propaganda against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Davarzani said Iran’s progress in the international arena has provoked the enemies to try to tarnish Iran’s image.

“They annually pay billions of dollars to the mercenaries to present negative propaganda against Iran in various social networks to promote Iranophobia in the world.”

Fortunately, Davarzani emphasized, Iranian athletes and people around the world have proved their love for Iran by travelling thousands of miles to support their beloved country.
