Iran, Greece underline expansion of tourism cooperation

TEHRAN, Mar. 01 (MNA) – Iran's Cultural Attaché to Greece and the director general of Greek culture minister underlined expansion of tourism cooperation between the two countries.

Iran's Cultural Attaché to Greece Mohammad Hossein Mozaffari and director general of Greek culture minister stressed the expansion of tourism cooperation between the two countries in a meeting held on Saturday, IRNA reported.

Pointing to the deeply-rooted and long-lasting relations between Iran and Greece, he said tourism is a way of cultural exchange and the tourists can play the role of ambassadors in introducing culture of a country.  

Stressing the financial reliance on tourism revenue, the Greek official expressed the hope that Iranian tourists would choose Greece as one of their target countries.

Iran's cultural attaché in Greece, for his part, said Tehran has the same idea and would like to promote tourism industry which brings about national growth.
