Iran’s foreign trade hits $73b

TEHRAN, Dec. 28 (MNA) – During the first 9 months of the Iranian year, $35,145 billion worth of goods were exported overseas and $38,462 billion were imported.

Iran Customs released the country's foreign trade status in the first 9 months of the Iranian year, announcing that $35,145 billion worth of goods were exported overseas and $38,462 billion were imported.

Accordingly, Iran’s non-oil exports showed a 17.72-percent rise and imports increased by 14.98 percent.

The report said the non-oil exports included liquefied propane, methanol and liquefied butane and the major customers for the goods were China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and India.

Meanwhile, the imported goods included wheat, with a share of 3.38 percent of the total value of imports, maize with 3.01%, rice with 2.91%, soybean with 2.61% and vehicles with internal combustion piston engine with 2.56%.

The goods were imported mainly from the UAE, China, South Korea and Turkey during the first 9 month of the year.
